ps seabear is a icelandic seven piece experimental, indie-folk band from reykjavik, iceland. the members include sindri már sigfússon, gudbjörg hlin gudmundsdottir, ingibjörg birgisdóttir, halldór {dóri} ragnarsson, órn ingi agústsson, kjartan bragi bjarnason, and sóley stefánsdóttir. it was all about their enchanting words and ethereal sounds as i clicked away at the show. their music will leave you humming for days.

haunted forest of my dreams ~ creepingelm
breaking through her eyes the branches splinter.
tears drop to the earth.
scarred trees and marks left,
silence echoes as the conversations of the trees race through the canyons of the mind.
forest of water and rain is what keeps it alive.
climb the elm and there cracks the branch below.
fall like feathers until the ground sifts you under.
the forest calls me and the woods become the marrow of my bone.

ps how appropriate for the skies to look as they did on the evening that i went to ryan adams' listening party at origami vinyl in echo park, ca on 9.30.11. i was clicking from the car on my way over to hear the ashes & fire album. the skies were of something hauntingly, heavenly dark, lovely, and mysterious just like ashes & fire.
