ps the parson red heads, an indie rock band, inspired by folk is a los angeles based band, originally from oregon. i was fascinated by the number of members on the stage. a celebration came to mind as they were rattling tambourines and having a frolic of a time. they were marvelous. i'll be seeing them again and you should too!

ps olin and the moon, an alt-country indie rock band, was a new band for me. i noticed them on twitter and made it a point to see them at spaceland. at the beginning david laBrel, lead singer's, vocals were low making it difficult to understand the lyrics. once this problem was fixed their music was much fun! this band seemed to have a strong bond with each other along with their choice of beer, pabst blue ribbon! check these boys out

ps the evening of the angus and julia stone show... a show at a cemetery makes it even more enlightening and magical! unfortunately i wasn't able to walk the grounds after the show. security yelled to me to stay on the cement! come on security let me have a little fun here. a vintage hearse... oh yeah!
ps ps the 2nd moon picture looks as if a hand is grabbing it on the right. oooo spooky!

ps this was my first show at the masonic lodge at the hollywood cemetery. it was lovely to share that experience with angus and julia stone! i went alone and met a photographer sitting next to me. he was extremely nice and informative about getting a new camera. hey thank you whomever you are. i am very excited to get a new camera and continue clicking! back to angus and julia stone, the brother-sister duo. they were beautiful and their voices are magical in my mind. it seemed they sang every song more alive in this venue! julia spoke of angus not knowing how to play the trumpet, but he took it on with no fear. hehehehe. each song seemed almost intensely personal. simply, they are talented musicians. every time i listen to their music i feel as if i fall into a fairy tale. you take my mind to another place. thank you angus ad julia. mwahhh mwahhh (:
ps ps sharing your music on blip.fm is a joy! can't wait to see you play live again at some point!
ps ps ps the pictures came out a bit distorted, but i kind of like that look. it is almost like they were spirits singing.

ps i hadn't been to the music box to see a show since last year and i am glad that i made it back to see frightened rabbit! scott Hutchison sings loudly with an emotional delivery. Each member of the band contributed their vocals as well as played a variety of instruments! personally i am in love with his dark lyrics as is every other fan out there. thank you for such a fun show. come back to see us again (: fyi: scott mentioned his tattoo of the cross not being the same as jesus' cross?? i can't wait for another album.
ps ps i continue to share your music on blip.fm and love every minute of it!

ps this night started out rough. i left my ticket at the house and had to return home to get it! damn. i missed the opening band, freelance whales. that was a complete bummer. however, shout out louds made it worth the drive back! i was very impressed with this swedish band! being it their last show of their tour in the u.s. they still had lots of energy! they sounded good! however, take note that if you decide to see a show at the el rey i am reminding you that the speakers are not so good! at the beginning the bass was turned up way too high which kind of got in the way of their brilliant talent. magically it was adjusted! Ted Malmros, the bassist, just had a baby. Congrats! Even with a stand-in bassist they seemed meshed. love their genuine talent! i will continue to promote them on blip.fm. come back to see us in the u.s. again! (:
ps ps i could not stop my eyes from staring at the backdrop! magnificent!
ps ps ps they will be having one more show, May 24 2010 8:00 The Glass House Pomona (US), SE
