ps fade like a star in the night of your nevermore, this light we miss forevermore! it's in the dark and in the day, to my heart you know the way!
ps ps this photo was taken in church of a little girl staring at me in the pew in front of me on christmas eve... she was on her back staring up at me.. you can make out her eye.... i love the halo of light that appears ps ps ps forgive me for i was asked not to take photos during mass and i clicked...
ps adoring christmas in california with autumn~like air... feelings as if i have fallen somehow into the nightmare before christmas..... how does one get this feeling? by frolicking between the rows of lit trees and hearing the wind rustling the leaves.. it's the eerie air of halloween with a mashup up of a christmas celebration... jack skellington: "isn't that wonderful? it couldn't be more wonderful!"
want to cross but I don’t think I can it’s too weak here even where I stand come here darling let me see you hold my hand so we can mend your broken halo
all I want from you well all I want from you is for you to turn around turn around
wanted to damage so I damaged it some we used to have it all now I just got some the silence, perfections, mysteries all easy to fall from your lips all the while lies were told to me in shapeless secrets
when all I want from you all I want from you is for you to turn around turn around turn around turn around
can’t you turn around can’t you turn around can’t you turn around why can’t you turn around? turn around turn around turn around
ps jesse woods sings with the soul of an aged man, armed with the lovely sweet voice of a boy. the inflection in his voice is soothing, and thoughtful- with that endearing country-folk infusion.... ps ps this is for you...
ps i'm all locked away watching the sunrise, someplace in your eyes, my dear i'm alright today i can see the sun, stars and moon becoming one i thank God dreaming's free because I would spend all my money making make-believe it's kinda what I'm doing anyway and I know your love has finally come to stay today, today
when you've come to stay i will see the sun, and I will feel no pain when you're feeling blue i will be the moon and I will be the rain thank God dreaming's free because I would spend all my money making make-believe it's kinda what I'm doing anyway and I know your love has finally come to stay today, today
calling me, anytime calling me, anytime calling me, anytime i'll be yours, will you be mine yes, I'll be yours, will be mine i'll be yours, will you be mine today, today
i'm all locked away watching the sunrise, someplace in your eyes, my dear i'm alright today i can see the sun, I can feel your pain thank God dreaming's free because I would spend all my money making make-believe it's kinda what I'm doing anyway and I know your love has finally come to stay today, today

i almost wish we were butterflies and liv'd but three summer days--three such days with you i could fill with more delight than fifty common years could ever contain.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kZl_foxwOLo ps as pretty as a song a song could ever be like Christmas on a river without a boat or Christmas tree this afternoon with you was something like a letter the kind that someone writes but never sends and when you look at me like that i know that someday it's gonna end and when you go i bet you miss your friends
as angry as a breeze tugging hard upon the sails i've been moving through these streets forever from Baltimore to Amsterdam these things inside me, they repeat like broken records spinning pretty somethings behind my eyes and when I can't look at you i can paint your picture perfectly in my mind and when I get old i'm gonna miss you all the time
that wind up in the trees scattering bluebirds all over the place shuffling children and piles of leaves i wish I was the wind, I'd touch your face this afternoon with you was something like a letter the kind that someone writes but never sends and when your good to me it makes me blue because someday it's gonna end and when we pass on i bet you miss your friends bet you miss your friends i bet you miss your friends
walking between raindrops every raindrop that touches your face is a kiss from me let it pour if every drop is your kiss you shall be drenched kisses down your cheek bathing yourself in my love kisses running through your hair dripping wet washing yourself clean with my love each drop echoing to my heart drowning in emotion showered in adoration my kiss the rain, your beauty the sun, creating rainbows as we become one drenched love... ~CreepingElm and anonymous

love makes your soul crawl out from its hiding place... ~zora neale hurston
love looks not with the eyes, but with the mind, and therefore is winged cupid painted blind. ~william shakespeare, mid-summer night's dream, 1595
see the rain on the street the way the cars shine and the scotch that she drinks with her lips so fine and her shoulders go weak as she closes her eyes oh, my God, when she was mine see how she moves through the door how she loses her keys how she loses her cool watching blackbirds scatter through the trees how she flips from the back to the front reading magazines oh, my God, I miss those things and it's a hard way to fall and this ain't the easy way down and it's a hard thing to love anyone, anyhow so if it's gotta be you treat her nice hold her hand and tell her twice that she doesn't have to worry and it will be alright it's alright this time it's alright this time see her smiling at him? that used to be me i could find her in a thunderstorm just by the way that the rain would fall and we used to be something but somethin' happened to me oh, my God, when I was free and it's a hard way to fall and this ain't easy way down and it's a hard thing to love anyone, anyhow and it's a hard way to fall and this ain't the easy way down
little moon don't shine. are you waiting up for me tonight? cause i'm alone, the way loneliness dies. i'm the tears no one cries. i'm the salt. like salt that coats the skin. i'm going now. you know so you can let me in.
little moon don't weep. chalk mark on an empty street. how'd the night learn my name? it's only me you can blame. and the truth, everything has an end. severed too soon. what did I do, little moon? what did I do, little moon?
first aid kit delivered at the echo this evening..... 2 honey-voiced swedish sisters, klara and johanna soderberg, on the road promoting their new album, the big black and the blue. they are wise beyond their years singing folk/pop songs that seep under the skin and claw at you. surface playfulness is deceiving as the tracks take on a darker hue in places, but both elements work perfectly together to create a trance-like quality. added are small yet purposeful flashes of drumming and autoharp. yay for the autoharp! singing their melancholy arrangements with warm harmonies that spin tales of self-discovery at the expense of lost love and memories of ghosts left behind, it's truly remarkable that at age 17 and 19 these lyrics come forth. one of my favorite songs from their new album is ghost town. it is full of emotion, a song about leaving someone you love to find yourself before settling down for good, only to find that they found someone else in the meantime. do you make one final attempt to salvage what you had? do you walk away? do you live on with regret? another goodie is hard believer, a mesmeric tune where a real life argument about religion provoked the rousingly urgent line: "and it's one life / and it's this life / and it's beautiful". btw they sing a beautiful cover of fleet foxes, tiger mountain peasant song! these sisters mesmerize me! be sure to hear me play and share their songs regularly on blip.fm ~ http://blip.fm/CreepingElm follow and listen: http://thisisfirstaidkit.com/ http://www.facebook.com/firstaidkitofficial http://twitter.com/#!/firstaidkitgary http://www.myspace.com/thisisfirstaidkit

an evening spent at the echo was all worth it as i listened to 4 amazing singers... ferraby lionheart was one of them. from los angeles to nashville and back to la, the music seems to reflect lionheart's real life travels as he dabbles in folk and indie rock without really seeming to fit into either category. maybe this is the secret to making a more enjoyable album. he's touring in support of his second full-length, the jack of hearts, which he composed in nashville. songs like "pocketknife" present lionheart's folky twang and lyrical sincerity with the utmost accessibility, which is also found on songs like "my name" and "arkansas" that slow down the approach and unfold with more precision, albeit with less forthright infectiousness. i will continue to follow ferraby and share his music on blip.fm, http://blip.fm/CreepingElm follow ferraby too! http://ferrabylionheart.com Twitter @F_Lionheart My Space http://www.myspace.com/ferrabylionheart Facebook http://www.facebook.com/ferrabylionheart?v=app_178091127385
