griffith observatory....typed words becoming unquestionable friends... we are real

ps this is not a "catfish" tale..... 2 people begin with sharing music on blip.fm leading to their exchange of words by typing a simple message on twitter. learning more about each other sends us to this crazy world of facebook. recently, we both showed interest in watching the film, catfish, which lead us to unquestionable answers. "are you real?" was a question we both asked each other. myself concerned as i was duped by another in this world of words. the duper lead me to believe that he was my friend for 1.5 years, but could never meet. that is not a friendship. one begins to question reality. are the people we are chatting with really who they say they are? be careful because in your mind you believe they are real, but actually they can be the complete opposite.
anyhow, the photos i have taken were from the actual place where a friendship continues to build. how did this happen? simple.... music brought us together... first it was ryan adams and then arcade fire. it was arcade fire that we had a common interest for in seeing. i happened to have extra tickets to a show and he expressed being a huge fan. he drove to los angeles to pick up these tickets and officially meet me after chatting for a couple of months. we both were hesitant and nervous about meeting each other due to watching catfish. this film will change your mind set about chatting with people without ever actually exchanging a simple handshake to make it real. we are 2 people that have a love for music.... he being a drummer in a band, sound engineer and listening to some great music and myself a band photographer and music addict.
decision was made to meet at griffith observatory, a public place, that can make your breathe stop from the views.
we were both slightly shy, but as time went on our comfort level increased as we chatted. i must thank him for being extremely kind and making this experience enjoyable while being frightened at the same time. hehehehe so here it is... a big thank you for being an amazing you and being real! it was a pleasure to meet you and hear a voice behind the words!! (:
ps ps my friend.... i will see you at the remy zero show in a few days.... stay real! (:

ps leaving the eagle rock music festival last evening I ran into some kids that started halloween early... loved It. hooray for halloween! they have a lot of life in them. good peoples they are..... had to click! they made me smile!

the dustbowl revival @ the eagle rock music festival 10.2.10

ps i decided at the last minute to take my dog with me to the eagle rock music festival. we arrive... maximus and i.... everyone stopped to hug him and snap a photo. this happens regularly. he is a muppet like dog that is a magnet for people. met many, many music lovers last evening. however, one sticks out particularly in my mind... he insisted that my dog was from star wars. heeheehee i forgot his name and he is probably going to read this. if so, hey to you!
it is not a good idea to take photos while holding a dog. enough with the dog stories. strolling along on colorado i stopped to listen to some fun bands, the submarines, the soft pack, and the dustbowl revival..... i took a few clicks of the dustbowl revival. they call themselves a folk orchestra...
today i hopped on blip.fm to listen to some of dustbowl revival's music. falling down was a tune that I enjoyed. however, i couldn't find the song to play for you from youtube. for more about the dustbowl revival visit......

the black keys @The Hollywood Palladium 9.27.10 (no cameras allowed... thank you iphone)

ps personally i don't care for the palladium, but as soon as i heard that the black keys were playing in los angeles i had to see them perform live other than on youtube and indeed i did, seeing an amazing show! the black keys are a two-man blues-rock group from Akron, Ohio consisting of singer and guitarist, dan auerbach and drummer, patrick carney. clearly these guys know how to write good songs, create spot on instrumentation, and make brilliant music! thank you much boys!
ps ps i will always play your music on my blip.fm page: http://blip.fm/CreepingElm
ps ps ps it is difficult knowing that i can't bring my camera into some venues when i want to capture amazing moments. iphone camera was the only choice for this show. i need a press pass please.... (:
