hurry operator
send me out to sea
i want to find a place where i can breathe
there’s a hole in the ocean
that wants to swallow me
that wants to put a stop where i would start again

i’m sorry to say
you’re a mess like me
we’re blind to find
but now we’ll see
that i’ve
been hiding out

my brain is an empire
of endless broken wires
that wants to take more than
it gives

we rolled right past the point where
nothing is the matter
now nothing’s come in the way
again

i’m sorry to say
you’re a mess like me
we’re blind to find
but now we’ll see
that i’ve
been hiding out

there’s a hole in the ocean
that wants to swallow me
that wants to put a stop
where i would start again
