ps johnny corndawg opened for middle brother at the echo last night. honestly, i had only listened to a few songs of his before venturing to the show. i wasn't quite sure what to expect from a boy named johnny corndawg, but i assumed he had something special to be opening for middle brother. the show was sold out and the venue was full when he took the stage, and he immediately had the crowd dancing right along to his country boy songs. he played with each of the members of middle brother at different times throughout his set.
johnny corndawg is originally from virginia. he spoke about growing up in a small town and wanting to get the heck out, which he did at age 17 moving to nyc. he has a talent for leather crafting (see his prize creation guitar case below) and is obsessed with chevy. thanks johnny corndawg for opening my ears up to new music!
