dawn landes played an acoustic set opening for justin townes earle at the autry museum in griffith park. this adorable singer-songwriter infuses her music with folk, country, and rock. i was hoping to hear justin and dawn's duet on the cover of dolly parton's "do i ever cross your mind." bummer...no luck. however, i did have the chance to hear her beautiful sweet voice live! btw she is a foot stomper and stomped her left heel through her wooden riser. "dawn landes sweetheart rodeo" is her third record which was released in jan. 2010.
