for such an “unromantic” man, Hitchcock was incredibly seductive in his work. iconic images abound in his films. will we ever look at cropdusters the same way? “Strangers on a Train”, written by Patricia Highsmith is something that has occurred to all of us and that’s the thing about him – everything he films has the creepiness we all fear and the desires we all have. his insistence on appearing as a guest in his films is quite clever – one rarely realizes he has passed by but somehow that profile with its cascading lips makes itself known and makes us shiver. the Poe of film!
ps enjoy a little creepingelm in your life.
